January passed by like a century and a second at the same time, and as we round out the first full month of 2021 that means February is right around the corner...which of course means one of the most romantic days of the year is coming up—and I'm not talking about the Super Bowl. Valentine's Day is on February 14 every year so you still have some time to buy last-minute gifts and chocolates, though it's also a good opportunity to show your love in a more creative way. Allow me to introduce you to Aldi's cheesy valentines.
Now before you go and pick up the same heart-shaped box of chocolates for your special someone this year, think about what they'd actually want. The chocolate boxes always come with a couple truffle flavors no one really likes and roses die after a week or so on display. But cheese? You can never go wrong with some good cheese. And I'm not just saying this because I'm personally obsessed with charcuterie boards.
Aldi is selling small boxes of cheese for $5 that come in festive packaging with pink and red designs. Included in each box are eight pieces of cheese that you can see through a heart-shaped cut out in the packaging. You can choose between aged English cheddar or English gouda and from sayings like "You make my heart melt" and "We go really Gouda together."
Pair this with another small gift to show you care and you'll be on your SO's good side for at least a couple hours. Maybe if you're really on your best behavior, they'll even share some of the cheese with you.
