Alabama is the overwhelming favorite to win both the SEC and the SEC West in the 2017 preseason media predictions. That’s not a surprise; the Tide have won the last three SEC Championships.

But outside of Bama being the preseason favorite, there are some fun votes for champions. Vanderbilt and Arkansas each got a vote for the SEC Championship.

The SEC originally showed that Vanderbilt received a vote for the title without getting a vote to win the SEC East. That would have been a bizarre circumstance. A team can’t win the SEC without winning its division. But the SEC amended that Friday afternoon and showed Vanderbilt with a first-place vote.

The preseason All-SEC teams were announced as well. Here are the players on the first-team offense and defense. Just six of the first-team members are from the SEC East.
