AFC BEAST: BILLS’ ALLEN WINS WEEK 4 TITLE, DOLPHINS’ TAGOVAILOA REGAINS OVERALL SEASON LEAD IN MIAMI HERALD’S UPDATED NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: Buffalo’s Josh Allen wins Week 4 honors with an even 50.00-point game for his second weekly title of the young season in the Miami Herald’s newest NFL quarterback rankings. But it is Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa, the man Allen beat on Sunday, who elevates back to No. 1 overall for the season, the position he held after Week 1. Allen leas from NO. 6 to second overall, while Tagovailoa took advantage of poor games by the QBs previously ranked first and second to regain No. 1. This is the 26th season for the Herald rankings. The Passer Success System (PASS) rankings began in 1998, with Steve Young the inaugural season champ. Our ratings system is cumulative not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Our ratings formula factors accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. They are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics.
