AEW announces Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson for two-night Grand Slam

AEW is heading to Arthur Ashe Stadium next week, for two huge Grand Slam editions of Dynamite and Rampage.

On last night’s Dynamite (September 15) it was announced that not only would Dynamite be live from Arthur Ashe next week but there will also be a special two-hour edition of Rampage next Friday (September 24).

So far nine matches have been announced for the two night event, with Kenny Omega vs Bryan Danielson in a non-title match headlining Dynamite on the Wednesday (September, 22).

Danielson made his AEW debut earlier this month, appearing at All Out following months of speculation that he had left WWE.

Dynamite Grand Slam will also see Cody Rhodes vs. Malakai Black, after Rhodes' friend The Mandalorian star Rosario Dawson was targeted by Black on Dynamite.

The Women's Championship will also be on the line, with Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. defending against Ruby Soho, MJF will take on Brian Pillman Jr, and Sting will team with Darby Allin against FTR.

On Rampage Grand Slam, CM Punk will have his first TV match in seven years as he faces Team Taz's Powerhouse Hobbs.

Adam Cole will team with the Young Bucks to take on Christian Cage and Jurassic Express and Chris Jericho teams with Jake Hager against Men of the Year (Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky).

The line-up for both night is as follows:

AEW Women's World Championship match Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (c) vs. Ruby Soho
