Adele Responds Robustly To Rumours Rebel Wilson Is Playing Her In Biopic

While on stage in London last night, Adele responded to rumours that Rebel Wilson is set to play her in a biopic movie.

Appearing in front of a sold-out crowd at the O2, she told her audience: “I’ve heard there are rumours about Rebel Wilson will be playing me in a movie – let’s see if that turns out to be true.

“They need my f***ing permission,” she then added. “Just because I’m plus-sized doesn’t mean she’s playing me.”

The rumours emerged yesterday, courtesy of the Daily Star, which claimed that the Australian star is looking for more serious roles to take on.

A source told the paper: “Rebel has always wanted to prove she can cut it as a serious actress.

“This is going to be a huge challenge for her because Adele is a legend at the peak of her popularity.

“Rebel can’t match Adele’s vocal talents but she can certainly sing. And, with a little technical wizardry, she’ll sound just like her in the movie.

“She is desperately hoping to get Adele’s blessing.”

Wilson has said that she’s been mistaken for the London-born singer in the past.

“Sometimes I get confused for Adele,” she told Radio 1. “And I’m like are you kidding me? Are you serious she’s like well better.”
