Actor Jason Sudeikis has had a fun weekend of basketball.
Sudeikis, the “Ted Lasso” star who grew up in Overland Park, was in Iowa City where he broke out his iconic “Saturday Night Live” dance Saturday while watching Caitlin Clark and the Iowa women’s basketball team crush Bowling Green.
A day earlier, Sudeikis was at Allen Fieldhouse and saw the Kansas Jayhawks men’s team beat Connecticut 69-65 in an exciting game. Former WNBA star Sue Bird joined Sudeikis at both stops.
Sudeikis was anything but a spectator on Friday night. At one point, he played drums with the KU band, hyping up the Allen Fieldhouse crowd.

Sudeikis also had an opportunity to shoot hoops at Allen Fieldhouse, and as a former basketball player, he looked good. After playing at Shawnee Mission West, Sudeikis spent time on the Fort Scott Community College team, too.
KU coach Bill Self was impressed with Sudeikis’ stroke.

All in all, it appeared to be a pretty fun trip to KU for Sudeikis.
One other note about Sudeikis: there is speculation that he is the unnamed Cupid that convinced singer Taylor Swift to give Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce a chance. Kelce mentioned how someone had helped him out in a Wall Street Journal article but never shared a name.
It’s a fan theory, but it makes sense since Sudeikis has hung out with both Kelce and Swift in the past.
