‘Abbott Elementary’ and ‘Better Call Saul’ Lead 2023 Critics Choice TV Nominations

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) has announced the TV category nominees for their 28th annual Critics Choice Awards. Leading the pack are ABC sitcom “Abbott Elementary” with six nominations and recently ended AMC drama “Better Call Saul” with five nominations. The winners will be announced at the Critics Choice Awards gala in Los Angeles, and broadcast live on the CW at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Other recognized shows include Starz limited series “Gaslit,” FX comedy “Reservation Dogs,” and Paramount+ legal drama “The Good Fight,” each receiving four nominations.

“As we embark on holding the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards, we are amazed by the wealth of remarkable television programs that were considered to become this year’s nominees,” said Critics Choice Association TV branch co-president Ed Martin via statement. “Clearly, the industry has rebounded in a big way. We look forward to honoring the year’s finest shows and performances at the upcoming awards ceremony.”

The CCA is also set to announce the film category nominees for the 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards on December 14 at 12 p.m. ET.
