A New Look at Latest 'Han Solo' Adventure

As we’ve noted before, despite what transpired at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Han Solo is anything but dead. Sure, the old guy might have been Kylo Renned, toppled into a nigh bottomless chasm, and consumed by a supernova-powered explosion, but his younger self is alive and adventuring.

Aside from the in-the-works stand-alone Star Wars story based on the exploits of a youthful Han, there’s Han Solo, the upcoming limited-series comic from Marvel set in the same time frame as the original trilogy. And we have another sneak peek below.

Written by Marjorie Liu and illustrated by Mark Brooks, Han Solo No. 1 finds our favorite scoundrel and BFF Chewbacca racing the Millennium Falcon in the gnarly Dragon Void Run — which is like the Cannonball Run but with spaceships and lasers and death. Lest it seem the comic draws all its inspiration from a Burt Reynolds flick, Han Solo also finds our heroes simultaneously conducting a secret mission for Princess Leia against the Empire. In any case, these two pages are newly revealed interior panels (sans text) from the inaugural issue.

And here are the previously released pages as well as the cover and several variants. Han Solo No. 1, the first of five issues, will be available in comic stores and digitally on June 15.
