Here are 7 Sacramento places to shop for the perfect Christmas tree this holiday season

Christmas trees embody the spirit of the holidays with their twinkly lights and fresh pine aroma.

If you’re searching for the fluffiest Grand Fir, now is the time to start shopping; most tree lots in the Sacramento area opened their doors for the season on Black Friday and stay open until they are sold out.

There are a few tree lots on the grid, or you can opt to drive to a tree farm. If you’re feeling unsure on what to look for The Bee also reported on tips to pick the best tree.

Here’s the list list of tree lots in the area to shop for your holiday tree this season.

Northwood Christmas Trees

Where: 8660 Madison Ave., Fair Oaks

Northwood’s Christmas tree lot has been around for 39 years. It carries trees sourced directly from Oregon. You’ll find Noble, Grand and Douglas firs at its lot. Prices range from $69 to $207. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tim’s Christmas Trees

Where: 3168 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento

Tim’s offers a variety of trees like Noble, Douglas, Grand and Silvertip firs. They are located in the Shannon House parking lot and are open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Davis Ranch

Where: 13211 Jackson Road, Sloughhouse

Davis Ranch is known for its sweet corn, but in December it also has a solid selection of Christmas trees to choose from like. They bring in Noble Firs from Oregon that are pre-cut. Or you also have the option to cut your own tree like an Incense Cedar, Douglas Fir, Nordmann Fir and Monterrey Pine for $47.99. They are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Chad’s Christmas Trees

Where: 1300 Jefferson Blvd., West Sacramento

Chad’s in West Sacramento offers trees from Oregon. It offers trees like: Noble, Douglas, Silvertip firs and table top trees. They are open 7 days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., with the exception of weekends opening at 9 a.m. Prices for a tree can range anywhere from $35.99 to $185 depending on the size.

Mickey’s Christmas Tree Land

Where: 4250 El Camino Ave., Sacramento

Mickey’s has been a Christmas Tree go-to in the Sacramento area for 34 years. It’s popular for all its tree being priced at $74.25. There are 4 lot locations throughout the Sacramento area, with one in Roseville, Citrus Heights and two in Sacramento. They are open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Green Acres Nursery and Supply

Where: 8501 Jackson Road, Sacramento

Green Acres offers either Noble Firs or Nordmann Firs, that range from $45 to $175 depending on the size. They have seven locations throughout the Sacramento region. The Sacramento location is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of Sunday which opens at 8 a.m.

Apple Hill

Where: About 50 miles east of Sacramento off Highway 50 (locations vary), Placerville

Apple Hill Growers had a number of Christmas tree farms to choose a holiday tree. You’ll find farms like Apple Country Christmas Trees, Crystal Creek Tree Farm or Hacienda Orchards to name a few. The selection of farms to choose from can all be found on the Apple Hill website. While you’re out shopping for your holiday tree, don’t forget to stop for some apple cider doughnuts.
