6 Holby City spoilers for next week

Holby City spoilers follow.

Next week on Holby City, Fletch makes some life-changing decisions, while Nicky reaches breaking point and Hanssen discovers a secret about Russ's teenage daughter.

Here are seven of the biggest moments coming up:

1. Amelia grows concerned about Nicky

Nicky is still struggling with baby Juliet, something which hasn't gone unnoticed by a concerned Amelia.

Amelia is particularly worried when she spots Nicky abandoning Juliet again and shares her worries with Eli, who is quick to dismiss them. However, Amelia's concerns continue to grow when Juliet falls unwell at nursery, and Nicky is unable to be contacted.

2. Fletch clashes with Jac

Fletch is rapidly losing faith in Holby, and his frustrations are amplified when he learns that Harry – his teenage patient – has had his life-saving operation canceled for the third time.

At the end of his tether, Fletch clashes with Jac, who retaliates by questioning his choices as a manager.

As they clash over staff shortages, and the state of the rapidly failing ward, Jac urges Fletch to take matters into his own hands.

3. Fletch suffers a devastating setback

Taking Jac's advice on board, Fletch decides to take action and transfers Harry to another hospital so he can have his operation that day as planned.

Unfortunately, tragedy strikes in the ambulance en route when Harry goes into cardiac arrest and is unable to be revived.

Harry is then taken back to Holby, where is declared dead, leaving Fletch guilt ridden and utterly distraught.

4. Hanssen discovers a secret

Hanssen wll be put in a difficult situation next week, when Russ's daughter Billie turns up at the hospital.

When Hanssen discovers that Billie is pregnant, she makes him promise not to tell Russ – insisting that she'll tell her father the truth soon.

Despite reminding Billie that Russ will be supportive no matter what, Hanssen is left feeling compromised over keeping such big news from Russ. What will he decide to do?

5. Fletch makes a final decision about his future

With Fletch's faith in Holby more dented than ever, his job offer from St James' becomes increasingly alluring. As Fletch reels from what's happened, Jac urges him not to blame himself for what happened, reminding her friend that he made a clinical decision – which they are forced to do all the time.

Jac, somewhat uncharacteristically, also takes the opportunity to remind Fletch what a brilliant nurse he is, prompting him to make a big decision about his future.

6. Nicky makes a life-changing decision

Nicky's problems go from bad to worse when the nursery manager insists that she take Juliet home, ruining her afternoon in theatre.

At breaking point, Nicky struggles to cope while alone with a screaming Juliet later on, and ends up leaving her in the car.

Thankfully, Amelia is on hand to intercept the situation, prompting Nicky to open up about how she's been feeling. Nicky tells Amelia that she doesn't enjoy motherhood, feels nothing for Juliet, and is haunted by her daughter's biological connection to Cameron.

Adamant that she doesn't want to look after Juliet anymore, Nicky begs Amelia to look after her instead, but is this a decision she'll live to regret?

Holby City airs these scenes on Tuesday, January 25 at 7.50pm on BBC One.
