Easter is nearly upon us once more and there are plenty of egg hunting events scheduled in the Columbia area. Some cost a bit of money for admission, but there are still plenty that will be free. Many include plenty of food, games and other activities outside of the egg hunting so everyone can have something fun to do and enjoy.

Below are seven of the best Easter egg hunting event happening in the Columbia area this year.

2023 Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Shandon United Methodist Church at 3407 Devine St, Columbia

When: Sunday starting at 3 p.m.

Families and children from infants through fifth grade are invited to enjoy this huge free Easter Egg hunt. Along with the egg hunt, the church will offer fun crafts and a Bible story. Just don’t forget your Easter baskets.

Easter Egg Hunt and Block Party

Where: Grace Church of Columbia at 2710 Harrison Road, Columbia

When: Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Everyone is welcome at this free egg hunt and block party. Rain or shine, the event will feature games, food and prizes. And of course, all the Easter eggs you can find!

Saluda Shoals Park Egg Hunt

Where: Saluda Shoals Park at 5605 Bush River Road, Columbia

When: April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Come to the park for a day of egg-filled fun. Besides the egg hunt, there will be food trucks and vendors. Children will be divided by age groups for the egg hunts. The cost will be $5 per child. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required by April 7 or until full. Register online at www.icrc.net.

Easter Egg Hunt at 2nd Wave Coffee

Where: Second Wave Coffee at 529 South Lake Drive, Lexington

When: Saturday from 12 pm to 1 pm

Come enjoy some coffee while your kids scramble for Easter eggs. The annual Easter Egg hunt costs $5 a child.

St. Martin’s Easter Egg Hunt

Where: St. Martin’s-in-the-Fields at 5220 Clemson Ave., Columbia

When: April 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Children of all ages are invited to an epic Easter Egg hunt. The event will be led by parish teens and grandparents. Also, the Easter Bunny is rumored to make an appearance. Participants are encouraged to bring their own baskets.

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Clinton Sease Farms

Where: Clinton Sease Farm at 382 Olde Farm Road, Lexington

When: April 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Grab your basket and head over to Clinton Sease Farm for a day of Easter fun. Tickets will be $15 for egg hunters (ages 2-10) and $10 for non-hunters (11-adult). Besides the egg hunt and prize, the ticket includes rides on the cow train, wagon rides, access to playgrounds and an obstacle course, photo-ops with the Easter Bunny and more. Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Northside Baptist Church athletic complex at 320 Ginny Lane, Lexington

When: April 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
