Eating an all-organic diet may sound expensive or difficult, but itβs not β especially if youβre shopping at Walmart. You can take advantage of the retailerβs everyday low prices and wide selection of organic food staples to load up your fridge, freezer and pantry.
When you have a full pantry at home, youβre less inclined to order takeout and more likely to eat the good-for-you food you already have in your kitchen. If you need to restock, you should definitely take advantage of Walmartβs fast delivery and free curbside pickup. You can shop for organic groceries, household essentials and more without even going inside the store.
When you sign into your Walmart account online, click the βPickup & Deliveryβ option in the top left corner of the website. Then, input your address and choose pickup or delivery. When you place your order online by 3 p.m., you can schedule to pick up your groceries as soon as the same-day. If you prefer to not leave your house, you can also have your groceries delivered as soon as same-day or at another time that works well for you.
If youβre trying to eat more organic foods, check out Walmartβs organic food section online and add these five organic pantry staples to your grocery list today.
1. Smuckerβs Organic Creamy Natural Peanut Butter, $4.96
Spread peanut butter on bread, use it in a smoothie or pair it with a piece of fruit β but make sure itβs organic. While some peanut butters are made with added sugars, oils and fats, Smuckerβs Organic Creamy Natural Peanut Butter is made simply with only roasted peanuts (no added sugar!).
2. SEEDS OF CHANGE Organic Seven Whole Grains, $2.37
Use these grains to make your own Buddha bowl or as a side to any lean organic protein. This mix contains whole grain brown rice, rye, barley, millet, red bulgur wheat, quinoa and wild rice with the flavors of garlic, red bell peppers and chili pepper. Make it in the microwave in only 90 seconds.
3. Great Value Organic Granulated Cane Sugar, $5.13
Eating sugar is fine in moderation. In fact, your body needs sugar to live. But, you can be smarter about how you consume it. Cane sugar is much less processed than white sugar, which also gives it a richer taste (meaning you can use less if you so choose). Use this organic staple in coffee, tea, baking and more.
4. Oceanβs Halo Organic and Vegan Ramen Noodle Bowl, $3.98

This isnβt your typical college student ramen. Oceanβs Halo Organic and Vegan Ramen Noodle Bowl kit includes kelp-based broth, ramen noodles and Shichimi Togarashi spice for an extra kick. Add in your own organic veggies like mushrooms, spinach or bean sprouts.
Note: Oceanβs Halo works with 1% for the Planet to donate at least 1 percent of revenue from each of its products to environmental causes like ocean conservation.
5. Newmanβs Own Organics Pasta Sauce Marinara, $2.88

Your pantry isnβt complete without a jar of marinara sauce! Serve it over organic pasta or use it to make meatball sandwiches, chicken parmesan and more. This one contains no added sugar. (And like all of Newmanβs Own products, 100 percent of proceeds are donated to charity.)
