4 passengers hurt when Amtrak train crashes into stalled semi near Thackerville, Okla.

Four passengers on an Amtrak passenger train, heading to Oklahoma from Fort Worth, were injured after the train hit a stalled semi-truck on Friday evening.

Train 822, also know as the Heartland Flyer, was on the BNSF Railway tracks near Thackerville, Oklahoma when the crash occured around 7 p.m., Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari said in an email. The train operates daily between Fort Worth and Oklahoma City.

The injured passengers were taken to a local hospital for minor injuies, he said. There were around 110 total passengers and crew members onboard.

Local authorities are invetsigating the incident, Magliari said.
