25 Rescued From Water Crossing During Storm North of Tucson

25 people were rescued from a low water crossing during a thunderstorm warning by several emergency crews in Sabino Canyon, Tucson, Arizona, on Friday August 12, according to the Tucson Fire Department.

In a Facebook post, Tucson Fire Department said they were called to assist the US Forest Service and Pima County Search and Rescue in “rescuing 21 adults, 3 children, and an infant from the low water crossing in Sabino Canyon” in a ladder rescue.

Footage posted to Facebook by the fire department shows emergency crews rescue a baby and while others make their way across the crew’s ladder over rapidly flowing waters.

According to local news reports, one visitor sprained an ankle. No other injuries were reported.
