We tested the 14-piece version of this set ($63.02), which is comprised of clear, hardened plastic containers, accompanied by flat, latching lids. These tops were remarkably easy to store, according to our reviewers, because they are thin and stackable. They were also able to create a truly impressive airtight seal, making them among the best options for keeping chips ultra-crispy and snackable.

That said, these tight lids were so secure that they took a bit of elbow grease to get off. That's a good and bad thing, as it obviously helps with food storage but may be problematic, especially if you're trying to remove a lid after microwave usage, since hot liquids, like tomato sauce, have a tendency to splatter up after lid removal.

This set also fared so-so in regards to stain removal; while each piece in this collection is dishwasher-safe, we found that a spin through the rinse cycle didn't exactly get all those tell-tale red splotches off the plastic—something that happens with most containers, but shouldn't impact the integrity of each container.

All in all, this Rubbermaid Brilliance set is a terrific value for this affordable price point, and more than 1,100 Bed Bath & Beyond shoppers say it's a dynamite investment.
