Court sets March 19 date for first execution in Arizona in over 2 years
The Arizona Supreme Court set a March 19 execution date Tuesday for a man who pleaded guilty to murder more than 17 years ago and recently said his death sentence was “long overdue.” It would be the state’s first application of the death penalty in more than two years. The court issued an execution warrant for Aaron Brian Gunches, who was convicted in 2007 in the 2002 shooting death of Ted Price, his girlfriend’s ex-husband, near the Phoenix suburb of Mesa.

Mexico airport operator GAP to invest $2.5 billion through 2029
Mexican airport operator GAP on Tuesday announced a 52-billion-peso ($2.53 billion) investment spread across five years, part of what it described as a development plan that aims to support economic growth and the country's key tourism sector. GAP operates a dozen airports in Mexico, including hubs in the major beach resorts of Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, among the country's top draws for international visitors. In a statement, GAP noted that the plan also includes the construction of a new airport terminal in Guadalajara, one of Mexico's largest cities, as well as an additional roadway to improve connectivity to the airport.
