2023 Ryder Cup betting: Clear Favorites, team and golfer odds to win

The 44th Ryder Cup will begin on Friday, Sep. 29, and the odds of the U.S. Team winning have been decreasing in recent months. Currently, Team Europe is leading the odds of winning the Ryder Cup against the U.S. Team, thanks to the outstanding performance of their players in recent tournaments.

As per PGA, the Ryder Cup has a distinctive structure as the teams can end up in a tie with a score of 14-14. In such a scenario, the previous winner shall keep the trophy.

Brooks Koepka is the only LIV golfer participating in the 2023 Ryder Cup for the U.S. side.

Top Golfers individual odds:

Scottie Scheffler (+700): Scheffler, the No. 1 ranked golfer as of Sep. 10, 2023, is projected to be the overall lead scorer for both the U.S. Team and Europe. Scheffler did not perform well in the last two tournaments, finishing outside the top 20. However, this does not affect his chances of finishing on top at the Ryder Cup.

Rory McIlroy (+900): It is anticipated that McIlroy, currently ranked No. 2 in the Official World Golf Ranking, will deliver the second-best performance during the Ryders Cup. McIlroy is considered to be Team Europe's most seasoned and successful Ryder Cup player, having won four titles out of six appearances.

Patrick Cantlay (+1100): Cantlay is expected to perform well in his second Ryder Cup appearance, ranking fifth in strokes gained off the tee and third in total strokes gained on the PGA Tour.

Jon Rahm (+1100): The Spaniard will make his third appearance for Team Europe, having played in 2018 and 2021. Rahm has won four out of the eight matches he played for the Ryder Cup.

Viktor Hovland (+1100): All attention will be on Hovland, who won the last two events on the PGA Tour schedule, the BMW Championship, and FedExCup Title. This will be the Norwegian’s second Ryder Cup.

Xander Schauffele (+1200): Schauffele returns for his second Ryder Cup after winning his debut 3-1-0 for Team U.S. at Whistling Straits. He is expected to perform well.
