2023 Ford Bronco Heritage Edition Goes Full Retro

Ford unveiled a new trim for the 2023 Bronco called the Heritage Edition online Thursday morning. It gets a host of cool retro-minded cosmetic upgrades and a slew of paint colors to choose from, all paying tribute to the original Bronco from 1966.

Available in two- or four-door body styles, the Bronco Heritage Edition gets a two-tone paint job that pairs the buyer's choice of five colors and Oxford white, which coats items like the roof, grille, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. On the grille you'll find red "FORD" lettering, and inside, there are plaid cloth seats, a navy-colored dash, and more white accents.

Heritage Edition Broncos will be based on the SUV's Big Bend trim, which gets you a 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four making 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can choose between a seven-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. The Sasquatch package will also come standard, adding widened fenders, Bilstein long-travel suspension, locking differentials, and 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires.

Ford will also offer a trim called the Bronco Heritage Limited Edition. Limited to just 1966 units, it commemorates the year the Bronco was first put into production. It gets an exclusive Robin's Egg blue paint job as well as an upgrade to the Badlands trim, which adds the bigger 330-hp 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 and a handful of interior upgrades.

Those who would rather settle for the Bronco Sport crossover will have a chance to partake in this tribute as well. There's a Heritage Edition of the mini Bronco for 2023, with many of the same cosmetic upgrades. There's a Limited Edition version too, in case you really want that bright blue paint.

Order books for the Bronco Heritage Edition are already open. The Sport starts at $34,245, or $44,655 if you want the Limited Edition model. Upgrade to the proper Bronco, and you'll have to spend at least $44,305. Want one of the 1966 Limited Edition Bronco Heritage trucks? That'll cost you $66,895.
