'Ted Lasso' 'Queen's Gambit' and 'The Crown' score top awards at the Emmys: See the winners list

TV’s biggest night lit up the silver screen as the Emmys returned Sunday.

"The Crown" led the winners' pack, racking up seven awards, including Olivia Colman and Josh O’Connor for lead actress and lead actor in a drama series. The Netflix drama also took home the honor of best drama series.

“Ted Lasso” accumulated four wins, including one for best comedy series. Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein won for best supporting actress and actor in a comedy, respectively. Jason Sudeikis scored big for lead actor in a comedy for his role in the Apple TV+ series.

The HBO Max dramedy “Hacks” swept up a trio of awards, including writing, directing and lead actress in a comedy series, with the latter clinched by Jean Smart. "Mare of Easttown" similarly nabbed an Emmys trilogy, including wins for Julianne Nicholson and Evan Peters for their supporting roles in the HBO limited series.

"The Queen's Gambit" scored twice, including best limited series. "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" won best variety talk series, marking its sixth consecutive win in the category. Ewan McGregor was recognized as best lead actor in a limited series for his role in Netflix’s “Halston.”

With 10 awards among the 27 competitive Emmys awarded Sunday, Netflix narrowly edged out HBO/HBO Max (with nine) for the most wins.
