Elliott, 14, wears a brace "every day," according to her parents, to combat the condition that causes sideways curvature of the spine.

"So proud of my daughter Elliott," they both tweeted. "Wearing brace every day. #NationalScoliosisMonth"

Stephanopoulos and Wentworth also share another daughter, Harper, 12.

They decided to break their silence on their daughter's condition because June is National Scoliosis Awareness Month. Statistics indicate that about three out of every 100 people have some form of scoliosis.
