Viral video shows big snake regurgitating live rival serpent
A video showing the horrifying moment a huge black snake regurgitated another live snake has been going viral.
Christopher Reynolds and his wife stumbled upon the jaw-dropping sight off a roadside in Texas. There, they found a snake nestled under a few branches with something poking out of its mouth.

It was long before Reynolds took out his camera to capture footage of one of most noteworthy reptile moments of 2017 -- a snake regurgitating a live rival snake.
"My wife and I were leaving my mother's when I caught a glimpse of this snake while I drove past it," Reynolds noted in the video's YouTube description."I stopped and backed up to take some photographs. Nina mentioned I should take some video. I am happy I did."
Though the species of either snake has yet to be confirmed, this clip isn't the first of it kind to capture such behavior among snakes. Late last year, a dramatic video emerged showing a large python throw up an antelope in a town in India, according to National Geographic.

Snakes have been known to regurgitate their food for multiple reasons, however, but Reynolds speculates the snake ejected its meal in a bid to flee the couple.
"It's regurgitating so it can escape," Reynolds said. "It felt threatened."
Snakes often deploy the technique when they feel threatened, sometimes halfway through a meal, or when it has overeaten.
