Incredible abandoned ruin in Australia comes alive

A beautiful abandoned ruin in Australia is enjoying a revival.

Jose Karen Allen and his wife built Paronella Park, an elaborate home and park on 13 acres of jungle in Queensland back to the 1930s.

It was originally purchased for just £120, and the park was developed to include a movie theatre, dance hall, swimming pool, playground and even a museum.

Over the years it fell into ruin becoming a victim of floods in cyclones, but now this extraordinary site has come alive again, and the jungle provides a lush backdrop to the restored castle-like mansion, where visitors can even stay overnight in new accommodation.
