Children tossed into snake pit for 'team building'
A recently-released video reveals a horrifying practice executed by a "motivational camp."
Schoolchildren who seemed to be about 10 years old in Malaysia were thrown in a snake pit, according to the Independent newspaper.
As the kids tried to escape the pit, a person can be seen spraying them with a hose.
The camp was reportedly organized by their school and the Malaysian Civil Defense Department.
The latter told FOX News that four coaches and six assistants have been suspended for their role in the terrifying exercise.
"We regret that this has happened," Selamat Dahalan, a director-general from the department told FOX News.
"This is an individual act and not sanctioned by the department. In fact, it is against our standard operating procedure to have such training for primary school children."
According to reports from Independent, children were informed that the pit had two pythons in it -- but least one more snake was seen being tossed during the video.
