Man survives plane crash and suicide attempt
A Colorado man is alive and unscathed after intentionally crashing a plane into a mountain.
Mark Darling made the suicide attempt on Sunday because the grief over the death of his son, Travis, was unbearable. Travis was killed in a car crash two years ago.
Asked if he flew into the mountain intentionally, Darling responded, "Yes, I did." He added that he heard his son's voice telling him to live as he was stranded on the side of the mountain for seven hours before a rescue crew got to him.
Darling faces a National Transportation Safety Board investigation, but he told CBS Denver that he's "never felt more alive in my life ... heck yeah I'm along for the ride now!"
