This $15 million home for sale in Florida features ‘Avatar’-inspired yard. Take a look
There are average backyards that offer up a garden or two in homes on the real estate market, and then you have this glittery, jaw-dropping oasis in the backyard of a house listed for $14.9 million just outside of Boca Raton, Florida.
“When I first saw this, I had to ask myself where I was, because I couldn’t really see something like this in South Florida. I felt like I was in an amusement park,” listing agent Chad Carroll told Realtor.com regarding the backyard. “I was blown away by the attention to detail.”
According to the listing, the detailed backyard and its beautifully presented lighting was inspired by James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster film “Avatar,” starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana.
The photos paint a vivid picture of the backyard, with its landscaped gardens, waterfall, lake and sculptures that are “woven together by experiential walking paths that suspend reality each night with Avatar-inspired illumination effects, casting mind-bending visuals akin to Alice’s adventures in Wonderland,” the listing describes.
“Everywhere you look, there’s just some unique feature that was specifically thought out and created by this seller over 20 years,” Carroll said to Realtor. “This isn’t a property that could be replicated, and even if somebody tried, it’s something that is unique and one of a kind.”
There’s a reason why the home is named Villa Florentyna, which loosely translates to “blooming” in Latin, Realtor says.
Let’s not forget about the house itself.
The 7,946-square-foot home has 6 bedrooms and 7.5-plus bathrooms and is about as chic as they come. High-end amenities on the property include:
Spacious floor plans
Home theater
Gym
Tennis/basketball court
