Increasing chance of freezing rain

Rain is increasing from the Southwest moving across Southeast Louisiana. Already seeing some wintry mix to our west. Forecast models are more bullish on the development of freezing rain. Lows are forecast to be in the low 30s Northshore, low to mid 30s South Mississippi, Low to mid 30s Terrebonne into the River Parishes and mid 30s Metro. Be aware of the potential for freezing rain on bridges and overpasses. Cloudy, cold and windy Friday with highs in the low 40s. Wind chills will be in the 20s and 30s. Colder this weekend. Hard freeze is possible for the Northshore with lows in the mid to upper 20s and 10-12 hours of freezing temperatures. Lows on the South Shore will be in the upper 20s to low 30s. Sunny skies forecast. Highs near 50 to the low 50s.
