These are the 10 most beautiful state parks in the US: Based on travelers' online reviews

With more than 6,000 state parks across the United States to choose from, a new analysis of reviews by Travel Lens has revealed its top 10 "most beautiful" state parks in the country.

Travel Lens, an online travel publication, analyzed the total numbers of Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews – as well as the number of times the words "beautiful," "stunning," and "breathtaking" were mentioned in those reviews – a park's Instagram popularity, and Google search data to compile a list of the "most aesthetically pleasing" parks.

Niagara Falls State Park in New York was deemed the most Instagrammed state park, with more than 3.5 million Instagram posts.

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park – Michigan

The analysis of Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park – Michigan’s largest state park – found that nearly 90% of reviews mention the word "beautiful," earning it the title of most beautiful U.S. state park. Based on Google searches, the park has increased the most in popularity, up 112% in the last year, according to Travel Lens.

“As Michigan’s largest state park, this awe-inspiring landscape is plentiful in terms of area and beauty,” the company said.

With roughly 60,000 acres and access to Lake Superior's shoreline, the park features a 35,000-acre old-growth forest, roaring waterfalls, more than 90 miles of hiking trails, campgrounds and more.

Smugglers' Notch State Park – Vermont

The analysis of Smugglers' Notch State Park in Vermont found that about 76% of reviews mention the park's beauty.
