10 disgraced corporate honchos who exited their companies unceremoniously

Bill Gates was one of the most respected entrepreneur-philanthropists in the world. With his nerdy, do-gooder image, and through his organisations, Microsoft Corp and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, his aura was clean.

Until the divorce announcement came through.

Over the past few days, Gates has fallen from the high perch he has been sitting on, disappointing the millions around the world who have looked up to him.

Reports over his linkage with disgraced American socialite, financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, of his association with Michael Larson, the money manager who runs Cascade Investment that handles Gates’ money and created an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in the firm, and news about the unsolicited advances Gates made towards female engineers working at Microsoft, has dealt his clean image a huge blow. Gates has also left Microsoft Board of directors as the company probes into his alleged affair almost two decades back with an employee.

With this, Gates joins a growing list of corporate honchos who have faced allegations of irresponsible behaviour or irregularities while in office. We take a look at 10 such corporate honchos who have unceremoniously exited their companies.
