'The Little Prince' comes alive in new animated trailer
Many book lovers point to "The Little Prince" as a literary masterpiece, and now, the famous French novella comes to life in the first trailer for the animated film based on the book. Watch it above.
Those who know the book can see that the film expands upon the world in the pages of "The Little Prince," introducing a little girl who rediscovers her childhood when she befriends the eccentric Aviator next door. Her new friend tells her the story of meeting the titular boy prince, and how his life was forever changed.
First published in 1943, "The Little Prince" is one of the best-selling books of all time and had previously been adapted for television. This CGI and still animation interpretation, however, is easily the biggest-scale adaptation the world has seen yet, and features the voices of Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, James Franco, Paul Giamatti, and more.
"The Little Prince" is set for a Christmas 2015 release.
