What's The Story
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day, and Dr. Rick Marshall is living proof. Dr. Marshall has become the laughingstock of the paleontological community, thanks to his theories about time travel. No one's laughing, though, when he, his research assistant, and a survivalist hillbilly tumble head over heels through a space-time vortex into another dimension. Will they be able to navigate this hostile territory and get back to their own world so that Dr. Marshall can indulge in some well-deserved gloating?
Three Good Reasons
- 1The always-hilarious Will Ferrell is clearly having the time of his life in this film, which is largely true to the cult classic 1974 TV show (one of his personal favorites).
- 2While there is plenty of eye candy for kids, the humor is geared toward adults, so it's perfect for nostalgic Gen Xers and their families.
- 3"Grumpy" the T-Rex may just be the cleverest and most charismatic dinosaur villain since the raptors in Jurassic Park.
Bet You Didn't Know
The largest T-Rex skeleton ever found was 42 feet long. That's about the same as four African bull elephants stacked on top of each other.
