This is one of my favorite theaters. Since I live close, I can actually walk there. Thus, I am spared the insult of having to pay to park even though they do give some of it back if you see a movie. The theater itself is pretty cool. Nice sound, spacious seating, clean floors. The negative is pretty much your universal (no pun intended) negative, i.e expensive snacks. You can off set this by sneaking into another movie as they usually don't bother to check. For me, it is a super place to see your movie choice. BTW-I agree with a previous critic. The IMAX is a waste of time and money as it is simply seeing a movie on a bigger screen. The seating is less inviting and there, the floors do have issues.
I been going there for a long time. It's very spacious & clean.

I have been to the Citywalk Imax 2 times in the last 3 months, once for the new Star Trek, and the new Harry Potter. Both times there were pretty big issues: 1) the movie projector shut down during the climax of the movie for about 5 minutes before it started back up. This was not during the previews, or a quite part where it might have not been as bad, but right at the final climax for the mivie. 2) The Harry Potter movie was promoted as a 3D film, where only the first 12 minutes where done in this format. No one mentioned this to us when we were saying how much we were looking forward to seeing a Harry Potter film in 3D. The smiles and took our money. To say we were misled is putting it mildly. I figure it was an out and out lie. Having paid $18 to see each of these films (x 2 with my wife) and $5 for parking, it was a very costly night, for pretty poor service. I will never go to either the Citywalk theater again, nor an Imax theater (since many of them are normal theaters with slightly better sound, like the new Burbank Imax... a real waste of money as well). I suggest you save your cash, and wait for the home video (or maybe rent it) or better yet, go to the Arclight theaters. They have the best projection, the people who attend films there don't talk or twitter, and the projection and sound are second to none. I gave it one start to show my unsatisfied opinion, if there was a minus star, it would be -5 stars.
Citywalk stinks and so does this site. It lists "16 user reviews" but only shows 3. I try to see the older reviews but It just returns me to this site.
