The Gaza Crossings Authority said in a statement that Israel's takeover was a "death sentence" against Gazans, particularly the ill and injured.

Chinese state media are reporting a knife attack with possible deaths at a hospital in the country's southwest. Although there are signs of a slight upturn in the global economy, companies are not benefiting from it enough because of political uncertainty and geopolitical risks, the Chamber's regular AHK World Business Outlook suggested.
