She does not look like a man. Are T-shirts and jeans dressing like a man?
      • joan t 2 months ago
This is my opinion Calgary....She does not have on a T shirt and jeans.....Get your eyes checked...She clearly has on a tie and suit getup, like a man. Not a fashion statement for a lady!

Gross. Thats a waste of time. Why do I need to see the hideous fashion choices of celebrities??
      • CalgarySandy 2 months ago
You don't need to see them. Are you such a slave to your mouse that you have to click on things you are not interested in and then keep reading the comments.

I haven't seen the oscars in yrs. maybe that's because I've never heard of the movies up for an award. and, of course it's not what you wear but WHO you wear. boring.

You know whatever the actors and actresses wear is fine! they are entertainers, after all, so what their attire is dosen't make or break their talents on the silver screen. So lighten up!

Who is anyone to critique what someone else finds attractive and wants to wear. Be it creative, unique, wild or weird - who cares. They are expressing their own preferences and tastes so get off their case. Who are you anyway to judge them. I hate this kind of crap. It is fun seeing what they all choose to wear and that's the end of it. Get a life or a real job.

In most cases, it's not the "celebrity' who decides - it's the designer that they have hooked up that decides what he/she wants the world to see. Often, the celebrity is extremely embarrassed and you can see that in their faces when interviewed about their outfit.

    • basmart1  •  2 months ago
Love Cher's outfit...only she can pull that off...don't know why you blind people can't see that...although, the others just look ridiculous
    • Bill  •  Hillsboro, United States  •  2 months ago
Who the hell cares about the Oscars. Like the Grammys they are political and have little to do with who the best actor, actress, movie or screen writer is. They just clutter up TV and the internet with stories about the least important people in our society…save for politicians.

"The Academy Awards' red carpet is all about style and sophistication..."

Riiiiigggghhhhttt! This year's "style and sophistication" is next year's out of date crap. But, just wait a decade or so and then it will be all good again.

      What nonsense!

      Cher looks fantastic.

Don't really get Angelina Jolie. Interesting look but not jaw dropping. Nice to see here that she had some meat on her bones. Waaaaaay too thin now. Seems to have and display some deep seated issues. And I agree, Cher looks terrific.

I am really amazed how those people with so much money have so little taste.Instead of causing sensation, they cause more pity than anyone else.

What makes Matt Whitfield a judge of fashion? Evidently he was spot on with a few of his disses, but all in all, I'd say he's just jealous he can't wear a dress. Stick to reporting facts, not opinion and you'll do okay Matt.
Sorry for the dress comment, but you're just plain mean in some of your commentary. Life is hard enough without people tearing each other down. Cher looked great, Diane Keaton looked how she always looks! DUH? Bjork's stockings were more of a mess than that dead bird on her dress, not to mention PETA should have something to say about it. Who wears baggy stockings to an awards show? These people need professional dressers.
Some of the dresses are just plain unbecoming but that should not be taken out on the customer of some over priced designer, it should be a reflection of how poorly serviced the customer was....think about it...this was probably the lesser of 12 evils...how sad for them. Oh, and under NO circumstances should a celebrity try to make something to wear to an awards show unless they like bad press. Those were the worst!
They have people telling them all the time how great they look when really, they should have their colors done and find a style that suits their body type and then have the designer come up with something just for them.
I've worked retail and I have to say most people have no idea what looks good on them. They depend on other people to tell them.
Nothing irritates me more than someone writing an article that doesn't know the proper term for a piece of clothing or a part of a shoe...if you're going to make it your business, study up....it helps make for a better article.
