Director Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer were given unprecedented access by the US Navy for the filming of "Top Gun" -- no CGI here. Every jet and ship is the real thing, something that would be unheard of in a modern Hollywood blockbuster. Let's just hope they go this route if the long rumoured "Top Gun 2" ever gets off the ground.
