After receiving their start writing for the small screen, the Farrellys emerged with their first comedy feature, "Dumb and Dumber" (1994), which rode the coattails of star Jim Carrey to become one of their biggest box office hits. Following the funnier, but underperforming "Kingpin" (1996), they crossed the romantic comedy with their trademark gross-out humor for "There's Something About Mary" (1998), a non-stop laugh that was also a huge hit …
