Noomi Rapace, the star of the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, has a new role. Make that several.
The actress and fashion designer darling appears topless and bloody in the new Rolling Stones Doom and Gloom music video.
She has other disturbing guises in the video including an overeater whose head explodes from junk food, a female version of Mick Jagger, strutting on stage with the band, a homeless person, a Spanish drug dealer, an airline stewardess, a pink-haired bare-breasted prostitute turning tricks (or trying to) on the street. She also rolls in money and kills zombies, in keeping with the "bath salts" zombie apocalypse fears of our modern times.
None of it makes much sense but the images are unsettling and certainly communicate the songs title.
It’s a risqué move but that’s pretty typical of the half-Spanish, half-Swedish actress who used her old punk perioid piercing holes to play Lisbeth Salander. Since then she’s starred in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus in which cut an alien out of her stomach by herself.
She’s rumored to be reprising her role in Prometheus 2, did her own stunts in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and a movie called Passion, also starring Rachel McAdams.
She has said, "I’m more interested in people’s darker side, the ones that aren’t easy and well balanced. The cracks.”
As well as being a risk-taking actress, she’s been dressed to thrill by a roster of impressive designers such as Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Valentino, Emilio Pucci, Carolina Herrera, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab and Balmain.
Someone needs to snatch this girl up for a cutting edge fashion or beauty campaign.
