Arnold Schwarzenegger's fans, detractors and everyone in-between will have a chance to hear him tell his own story in his upcoming memoir, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.
And what better way to drum up excitement for the book's core audience than with a trailer?
In it, a camera circles Schwarzenegger as he recaps his extraordinary career, accompanied by archival footage and iconic film clips.
"If my life was a movie, no one would believe it," Schwarzenegger says. "The directions I’ve chosen, the careers I have conquered. I started out as a bodybuilder from Austria, and became the strongest, most muscular man in the world."
"But, I had bigger dreams. I wanted to be in movies. I came to Hollywood, and within a decade, I was one of the biggest action stars of all time," he continues.
"Then I took the greatest gamble of my life," Schwarzenegger says. "I went into politics. I became governor of one of the largest economies in the world. I went from being The Terminator to being The Governator."
"But this story you know. So are you ready for the story you don't?"
Announced one year ago by Simon & Schuster, it's still not clear whether or not the book will include Schwarzenegger's own thoughts on his divorce from Maria Shriver following revelations that he fathered a child with the family's longtime housekeeper.
Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story is due on Oct. 1.
