Sadly, Die Another Day is the worst Bond movie ever. If you compare it to its predecessors, it lags far behind. Lee Tamarohi completely botched up the job. He seemed to be hell bent on breaking away from the tradition. The only tradition he followed was Bond smoking a cigar -- it was quite ludicrous and unnecessary to see Bond smoking in Pierce Brosnan's era. Otherwise, the director appeared to develop jealousy towards the previous Bond movies and made an effort to topple them, in which he miserably failed. The production team was apparently quite perturbed over the competition, which was again quite unnecessary considering the rich heritage of the Bond franchise. They needlessly got bogged down by rivals like XXX. They were more focused on competing with rivals than making a quality movie. All in all, a truly disappointing effort. Lee Tamarohi was a huge let down. This movie revolved more around Jinx than Bond. I looked like a Jinx franchise than the legendary Bond franchise. Lee messed up badly. |
