If you love the Great Cyndi Lauper, you can forgive all in this wonderfully campy psychic/Indiana Jones/romantic film. Cyndi is funny and sweet as the gifted psychic Silvia. Peter Falk is at his most likeable as a scruffy con-man. The yummy-yet-creepy Julian Sands is delightfully, hammily wicked. Jeff Goldblum is. . .well, Jeff Goldblum with (as if it were possible) a few more neuroses and a bad case of Dead Zone disease. The Tango is not to be missed. Campy fun!!!! |
