The story of young black man, Nicky Burkett, who is trying to keep on the straight and narrow after a spell in prison. Helping to motivate him are his son Danny and Noreen, a beautiful woman in his life. But he is drawn back to violence when he inadvertently crosses the wrong guy on the mean streets of London's Walthamstow district.
