A comedic thriller involving lost characters who are twisted out of proportion by romantic obsession. Shy San Franciscan Zoe is a twenty-something love-starved animator who spends countless hours listening to KXCH "Cherish" radio, losing herself in a syrupy romantic fantasy of 70s and 80s pop songs. After a mysterious car accident where a policeman is killed and the assailant flees the scene, Zoe is left to face a vehicular homicide charge. While awaiting trial, Zoe is incarcerated in the electronic bracelet program where she is monitored and confined to her squalid inner-city apartment. She repeatedly tries to escape, but to no avail; and each attempt brings another visit from her parole officer Daly. Ironically, Zoe and Daly find themselves falling in love. Ultimately, Zoe sheds her rose-colored glasses and becomes her own superhero after she discovers the real cause of the accident.
