A documentary/fiction film about the origin of mens' muscle magazines in the 1950s which follows the career of Bob Mizer, photographer and the creator of the Athletic Models Guild. As an avid admirer of the male form, Miser groomed beefy boys to star in short films and photo layouts, and in doing so, gave shape and style to the male pinup industry as a popular cultural form.
