Former ‘America’s Got Talent’ contestant Jackie Evancho makes film debut at TIFF 2012 in ‘The Company You Keep’

Jackie Evancho is not only a household name, she now shares a household with Robert Redford -- on screen, anyway.

The 12-year-old kid with the big voice famously stunned audiences with her rendition of "Ave Maria" on the fifth season "America's Got Talent" in 2010. Although Evancho ultimately came in second place during the season, her beautiful voice has helped launch her show business career.

Now, two years later, Evancho is playing Redford's daughter in his new film, "The Company You Keep," about a widowed attorney who turns out to be a former Weather Underground member. The film screened at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday night.

Redford posed with his smaller co-star on the film's TIFF red carpet Sunday, and Evancho, pretty as a picture in a sapphire blue frock, also signed autographs and posed playfully for the paparazzi.

Before the big event, the singer/actress tweeted she was "enjoying" her day in Toronto with a walk by the water, before heading to Guess' TIFF portrait studio and on to the "Company You Keep" premiere with her dad by her side.

But even though Evancho has also appeared in the film "She's Out of My League" and Disney series "Wizards of Waverly Place," don't expect her to quit singing for an acting career anytime soon.

"I don't think I want to act full time," she told the Desert Post Weekly in January. "I think I might like to do something with a Disney special or make a movie once in a while that would give me enough time to sing and record, but that's about it."
