‘Bill & Ted 3′ script is finished. Excellent!

Get those air guitars ready, Wyld Stallyns fans!

While promoting his new documentary "Side by Side," actor Keanu Reeves told The Independent that the long-awaited third installment of the "Bill & Ted" saga finally has a finished script. Is no 1980s property safe from the reboot/sequel mill?

"Yeah, we have a script. We're trying to put it together. It's a good script, too," said Reeves, who played the dimwitted Ted in 1989's time trip "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and its sequel.

When asked about Reeves' comment on Twitter, co-star Alex Winter (who played, naturally, Bill S. Preston Esq.) tweeted a confirmation: "Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!"

For those who don't recall (or were born after) the duo's adventures through time and space, Bill & Ted are a pair of rad dudes from San Dimas, California whose music is destined to unite the world. Equipped with a time-travelling phone booth and some help from the mysterious Rufus (George Carlin), the friends survived the history test from hell and an actual trip to hell in the original two films. The new film will reportedly catch up with the now middle-aged pair as they struggle to write the song that will change history.

To add more fuel to the "Bill & Ted 3" fires, just this week, the film's official Facebook page teased several big announcements in the coming days, and announced the launch of an official Bill & Ted 3 Twitter account. They may not have the green light yet, but Reeves and Winter seem close to making their long-gestating film a reality. Party on, dudes.
