TIFF 2013: Keira Knightley wows in pretty printed frock

Just a quick hop and skip across the pond and Keira Knightley found herself on the TIFF red carpet Saturday night. It's precisely the pond - and it's woodland surroundings - however, that seems to have inspired the "Can A Song Save Your Life?" star's frock for the film's premiere.

Fully embracing fall's biggest trend, Keira looked simply ravishing in a purple and green printed dress by Mary Katrantzou. Although mixing and matching bold patterns is the hottest way to wear this look, we love that the newlywed opted for an all-over print for a more feminine approach that reads like a watercolour painting.

The upward scoop on that strapless neckline and flared skirt further accentuate the ladylike feel, and the mid-calf length speaks to the mid-century style of the season. Her dusty rose ankle strap Louboutins have an almost ballerina-like flair and that wash of purple on the newlywed's lids ties the entire look together.

If prints can look this good, why would anyone opt for plain?
