Is Dakota Fanning growing up too fast?

She may have played one of the ageless Volturi in "Twilight," but in real life, Dakota Fanning actually appears to be aging faster than a regular human.

The 19-year-old "Runaways" star has been playing the grown up at the Toronto International Film Festival this year, taking on two very adult roles. In "The Last of Robin Hood," she plays the young lover to 65-year-old actor Kevin Kline's Errol Flynn, and she also reprised Heather Graham's role as porn starlet Rollergirl in Jason Reitman's "Boogie Nights" Live Read.

And Fanning has been dressing the part. On Friday afternoon, she wore thigh-high leather boots and a leather mini skirt to the "Boogie Nights" reading at the Ryerson Theatre, followed by a very short blue Valentino frock she sported to the premiere of "Robin Hood" at the Isabel Bader Theatre.

The one missing part of the puzzle was the former child star's rumoured new boyfriend, the much older 32-year-old model Jamie Strachan. The couple was spotted holding hands in New York earlier this week, despite the fact that Fanning told Glamour in March that she doesn't "really date."

This is not the first time the starlet has been accused of acting beyond her years. Back in 2007, Fanning stirred up controversy when the pubescent actress starred as a rape victim in the movie "Hounddog."
