Now that Michael Bay and Megan Fox have made nice, someone had to come out of the woodwork and hate on the 26-year-old actress and new mom.

Enter "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" co-creator Peter Laird.

"I think it is safe to say that there are probably hundreds of better choices for the role of April O'Neil," Laird wrote recently on his blog about Megan Fox's new role in the TMNT film reboot.

Laird qualified his harsh words, saying he's not really sweating the Fox casting news too hard, yet adding, "My only exposure to Megan Fox as an actress is through her role in two 'Transformers' movies and the wretched (but happily forgettable) 'Jennifer's Body.'"

Unlike his former partner Kevin Eastman, who has been vocal in his support of the upcoming Bay production, Laird has not been involved with the forthcoming film. "Of course, her name has promotional value, and maybe that's what they want. Who knows?" Laird also offered on his site.

Laird is not the only one taking issue with Fox's takeover of the beloved part of the brainy, yellow coat-wearing April. In fact, a snarky spoof of Fox has been spun, poking fun at what could become Fox's overly-sultry depiction of the otherwise smarty pants robot programmer who is in tight with the Turtles.

Bay's choice to cast Fox came as a surprise, as the former "Transformers" colleagues were thought to be feuding after Fox compared the mega director to Hitler in a magazine interview. Further indication of the kerfuffle came when Fox was not asked back for 2011's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was cast as the sultry female lead instead.

Two years later, Fox is said to have swallowed her pride, reportedly calling Bay to apologize. And now the two are just peachy.

"Ninja Turtles" is currently set to enter theaters on June 6, 2014.
