ABOUT THE MOVIE
WHO WILL DIG IT?
Since 2008's "The Dark Knight" is the third highest-grossing film ever in the U.S., there's a good chance you've seen it. And if that's true, you have to know how it all ends, right?
THREE GOOD REASONS
- 1Director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale have said this is their last Bat-film, and their sure to end their trilogy with a big, big bang.
- 2The film features an incredible supporting cast, with Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, along with Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt from Nolan's last smash, "Inception."
- 3This final chapter will have over an hour of footage shot on IMAX cameras (about double what was in the previous film). Movies literally don't get any bigger than this.
BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW
Selena Kyle, aka Catwoman, is one of Batman's oldest and most-enduring foes in the comic books. She was first introduced in "Batman #1" in 1940, but she disappeared from the books between 1954 and 1966 because of strict content restrictions of the Comics Code Authority. After the character became popular on the "Batman" TV show, she was brought back in print and has stayed a fixture ever since.
